Poddar Sansthan is a registered Non Government Organization (NGO) working towards community development with an objective to enhance socio-economic status of the underprivileged and disadvantaged community children, women and youth. Over the time, the work of organization has grown to focus on areas related to Education and Livelihood, Skill Development, Women Empowerment, Poverty Reduction, Health Awareness, Environment and Energy Conservation, Water and Sanitation, Waste Management and others. The operational areas of the Sansthan are the prominent districts of Rajasthan.
Ensuring community empowerment with educational awareness component along with an action plan suitable to the community in terms of problem solving and sharing their responsibility. The community will be enlightened with traditional and non-traditional media as per area-specific demand. Committed social advocacy and mobilization for women empowerment and child development is a redeeming feature. Social-economic upliftment is a set goals for which we share methodology, experience with like-minded people and institutions in participation.
To remove Illiteracy and link the society with the vocation and employment generating opportunities, especially for the women, child and the disabled. To advance healthcare and foster health promotion, particularly among the poor and the deprived section of the society, social marketing/communication of health messages through Rallies, Sensitization Workshops, Seminars, Nukad Natak (street play), Slogans, Art, Interactive Lectures with the help of resource persons. Over population in metropolitan cities strain the infrastructure in terms of sanitation, water supply, management of garbage and other wastes. This requires substantial efforts from all sectors including Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), so thatthe situation might get normalized. Slum dwellers and the needy people may feel happy to lead their normal life in a notifying way.
