Under the Give Hair-Joy-Hope for Cancer Survivors mission, a grand hair donation camp was organized at Poddar International College on January 4 (Tuesday). This hair donation program was organized by Poddar International College and Inventive Helping Hand Society in association with India Health magazine and MAC Studio. In this hair donation, not only school-college students but also girls and women of all ages donated their hair voluntarily.
Himanshi Gehlot, Director, Inventive Helping Hand Society, said that it is a matter of happiness that 78 donors have come to this program for the children suffering from cancer. Poddar College, India Health, MAC Studio along with Inventive Helping Hand Society made this commendable effort.
The objective of the program was to donate hair for cancer patients, especially for small and poor children, so that hair wigs can be made from these hairs to help them restore the lost smile along with the beauty of their face.
The program started with a musical performance by a 5-year-old Little Hair Donor Advika Jagaria who gave the message of hair donation to the people by donating her hairs live on the stage. Apart from this, a touching short play on Hair Donation Awareness was staged by 17 students of the Theater Group of Poddar International College. The play was directed by renowned theatre artist Deepak Pareek and written by Saurabh Jain. In a series of stage performances, a humane musical dance performance was also given by the students of Poddar College.
