National Workshop on Plagiarism and Publication
Poddar Management and Technical Campus organized National Workshop on Plagiarism and Publication on 20 Jan 2019 to raise awareness of original research and academic writing and to provide students, research scholars, and academicians information on the latest trends in the area of academic publication.
Dr. Raghuvir Singh (Director, TAPMI School of Business) was the keynote speaker. He gave an overview of the use of statistical tools in research. Dr. Sunil Kakkar, Convener, described software tools such as Mendeley and Turnitin, which can assist in reference management and detection of plagiarism.
Students from various colleges including Poddar Management and Technical Campus, Poornima University, and LBS PG College attended the workshop.
Participants gained the skills required for quality research writing and publication. They also learned tips to avoid plagiarism in academic writing. The workshop was helpful for students at the PG level, research scholars, and academicians engaged in research and content writing.
