On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the NSS Unit of Poddar International College was honored by Hon’ble Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khivsar for conducting the Best Activity under UNICEF’s “Mann Darpan” program focusing on Mental Health Well-being. The award was received by Professor Praveen Goswami, Principal Poddar International College, Dr. Vinod Kumar Jain, NSS Program Officer, and NSS Volunteer Ms. Manisha on behalf of *Poddar International College.
The recognition was given for the seven-day “Mann Darpan” initiative
From 13-20 September, during which several activities were conducted to promote mental health awareness and emotional well-being among students. Activities included- Seminar on stress management and Nasha Mukti , Quiz Competition , Health check-up camp , Open Mic , Poster-making competitions , and community outreach programs . These sessions aimed to enhance students’ understanding of mental health issues, reduce stigma, and encourage proactive participation in maintaining psychological well-being.
The posters made by our students were also displayed at the Rajasthan International Centre, showcasing their creativity and awareness on the theme of mental health.
The award was a matter of great pride for the college and reinforced the importance of continuous efforts to promote mental health awareness and support systems among young minds.
