The Department of Computer Applications, Poddar Group of Institutions , as part of its 28 Years of Excellence journey, organized a Workshop on Power BI in association with UpGrad for the students of the department. The session aimed to provide students with practical exposure to data visualization, business intelligence, and analytics tools widely used in industry.
The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Adityavesh Adhana, Data Scientist and Senior Trainer at upGrad, Jaipur , Rajasthan, who has more than 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics and Data Science. He shared valuable insights into the importance of data-driven decision-making and the growing demand for business intelligence professionals.
The workshop introduced students to the fundamentals of Microsoft Power BI, including data importing, data transformation, dashboard creation, and interactive report development . The experts demonstrated how raw data can be converted into meaningful insights using visualization techniques, DAX functions, and real-time analytics dashboards, enabling effective decision-making in organizations.
The session included hands-on exercises where students worked on sample datasets to design dynamic dashboards and generate analytical reports. Participants gained practical understanding of data modeling, report sharing, and business intelligence workflows, aligning their skills with current industry requirements.
