State-level workshop provided new direction for artisans

A state-level workshop was organized under the joint aegis of the Rural Non-Agricultural Development Agency (RUDA) and the Poddar Sansthan. Separate sessions were held for artisans involved in the minor minerals, leather, wool, and textile sectors. Dr. Manisha Arora, Managing Director of RUDA, inaugurated the workshop. She said, "For rural artisans, such workshops will prove to be a milestone in increasing their employment and business. By learning the tricks of skill development and modern marketing, artisans will be able to showcase their skills in the country and abroad." RUDA Executive Director Yogendra Gurnani said that by implementing the lessons learned in their respective fields, artisans will be able to enhance their efficiency and boost their businesses.

RUDA DGM Mahipal Yadav and GM Dharmendra Poonia were also present. Dr. Anand Poddar, Chairman of the Poddar Sansthan, expressed his gratitude to all present at the workshop. Subject matter experts from various fields provided training to the artisans. Leather expert Vikash sharma explained how to integrate traditional craftsmanship with modern designs. Wool expert &Gunjan Soni* explained ways to improve the quality of wool products and increase market demand. Minor minerals expert Neha Khutenta presented tips on how to improve the quality of wool products and increase market demand. Highlighted the use of mineral resources available in the regions and the possibilities of employment generation through them.
