The Department of Design at Poddar International College organized a practical workshop on Direct Dyeing and Reactive Dyeing for B. Des Fashion, 3rd Semester students. The session, conducted by Mr. Arvind Sir, offered hands-on training and demonstrations on the dyeing processes, where students explored the properties, application methods, and differences between direct and reactive dyes.
Through practical experiments, students learned how factors such as fabric soaking, dye bath preparation, temperature control, and fixation affect colour outcomes. They also tested various colour depths and fabric types to understand dye absorption, enhancing their knowledge of textile colouration techniques for future surface design and textile development projects.
