It was a moment of pride and an unforgettable experience for the B.Des. Fashion Design students of Poddar International College, as they got an exclusive opportunity to be part of the 72nd Miss World event, held on 30th and 31st May at the Hitex Exhibition Center, Hyderabad.
Selected students were given the prestigious chance to work backstage and assist none other than Celebrity Designer Ms. Archana Kochhar. As part of the backstage styling and coordination team, they gained invaluable exposure to the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of an international fashion platform.
They closely interacted with Miss World contestants from around the globe, learning the intricacies of styling, grooming, and last-minute preparations. The experience brought them face-to-face with real-time challenges and gave them a first-hand understanding of backstage dynamics at a global event.
Adding more glamour to the experience, they also had brief interactions with Bollywood celebrities Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter, who were present at the event.
A moment of absolute pride was when one of our talented students got the opportunity to personally assist the reigning Miss World 2025, Ms. Sucheta—a testament to the skill and confidence Poddar nurtures in its students.
This immersive experience helped students deepen their understanding of event styling, backstage coordination, and professional interaction, while reinforcing Poddar’s commitment to providing industry-led learning opportunities that bridge classroom knowledge with real-world experience.
