As part of the Departmental Orientation  Day 1 for Fashion and Interior Design students, an engaging Paper Draping Workshop was conducted by design faculty members Mr. Shoaib Sir and Mr. Sohan Sir.

The session encouraged students to explore paper as a versatile medium, helping them understand volume, structure, balance, and aesthetics — all fundamental concepts in both fashion and spatial design.

Under the guidance of the mentors, students worked in teams and individually to experiment with various forms and silhouettes. Fashion students created expressive paper garments, including draped dresses and structured bodices, showcasing their instinctive creativity. Simultaneously, Interior Design students translated the same concept into spatial forms, crafting miniature models of chairs, tables, and decor elements using only paper.

The workshop not only fostered creativity and hands-on learning but also offered students their first taste of design thinking, ideation, and prototyping — all using simple materials. It was a high-energy session that inspired innovation and teamwork right from the start of their design journey.
