One-Day National Seminar on “Taxation 4.0: Adapting to Digital Transformation and Compliance Challenges”

The seminar commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony by the dignitaries, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. The event was graced by esteemed faculty members, students, and distinguished speakers. Dr. Reema Singh, Coordinator of the event, welcomed the guests and highlighted the objective of the seminar — to bridge the gap between academic learning and digital taxation practices emerging in the era of Industry 4.0.

CA Rajeev Sogani initiated the session with insights on “Tax Implications and Compliances in India.” He elaborated on the emergence and significance of Digital Taxation in the context of India’s growing digital economy. His discussion included critical concepts such as Significant Economic Presence, Cross-Border Earnings, and the taxation of global digital giants.

Using real-life examples like Tesla and ChatGPT, he demonstrated how multinational digital entities navigate tax obligations across jurisdictions. Students from Commerce and Management streams actively participated by posing thought-provoking questions, making the session interactive and intellectually enriching.

The second session focused on the integration of Digital Tools and Artificial Intelligence in taxation and accounting. CA Sethi explained Generative AI applications, Prompt Engineering, and AI-based automation tools that are transforming the professional landscape.

The session was highly interactive, encouraging students to discuss how these technologies can improve efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in finance and taxation domains.

The seminar concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Amita Vijay, expressing gratitude to the speakers, coordinators, and participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
