On the occasion of World Literacy Day

The Literary Club of Poddar International College organized an event titled "Educate, Empower, & Celebrate Illuminating Young Minds to commemorate World Literacy Day".

This event aimed to promote literacy, empower students, and celebrate the joy of learning. It took place at Govt. Senior Secondary School in Sodala, Jaipur, on September 8, 2023.

The event began with a warm welcome extended to the school authorities, teachers, and students by the Literary Club members. The inauguration ceremony set a positive tone for the day.

To stimulate critical thinking and observation skills, the " Guess the Brand activity was organized. Students were presented with logos and brand images, and they had to identify the corresponding brand names. This activity not only encouraged creativity but also highlighted the importance of branding and marketing in the modern

world.

  • Human Chain

The Human Chain activity aimed to instill a sense of unity and cooperation among students. They formed a human chain by holding hands and, together, they discussed the significance of unity in achieving common goals. This interactive activity reinforced the

the idea that teamwork and collaboration are essential in any endeavor.

  • Complete the Task:

The Complete the Task activity challenged students with various

tasks that required problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork. These tasks were designed to be fun and engaging while also promoting skills such as time management and effective communication. Students enthusiastically participated and completed the tasks with enthusiasm.

  • Book Donation Drive:

As part of the event, a book donation drive was organized to enrich

the school library. Attendees were encouraged to contribute new and gently used books, showing their commitment to literacy and education. This drive received an overwhelming response, with a significant number of books collected.

  • Educational Workshops:

Educational workshops were conducted by volunteers from Poddar

International College. These workshops focused on enhancing reading and writing skills, providing students with valuable insights into effective study techniques.

  • Cultural Performances:

To celebrate the cultural diversity of India, students from different backgrounds presented traditional dance and music performances. These cultural expressions not only showcased India's rich heritage but also encouraged cultural appreciation and unity among the students.

  • Guest Speakers

Eminent personalities from the fields of literature and education were invited to share their experiences and insights on the importance of literacy and lifelong learning. Their inspiring speeches motivated the students to pursue education with enthusiasm.

In the concluding line, the event ended with an appreciating tone and successfully gained the purpose "To Educate, Empower, Celebrate  Illuminating Young Minds event on World Literacy". The day was a tremendous success. It successfully promoted literacy, empowered students, and celebrated the joy of learning. The engaging activities, thoughtful workshops, and cultural performances created a vibrant and educational atmosphere.
