A group of M.Sc students from the Department of Science, Poddar International College visited CIPET,Jaipur
The main aim of the industrial visit was to provide students with practical exposure and understanding of the petrochemical and plastic manufacturing processes.
To study the production processes of petrochemical products and their conversion into various plastic materials.
During the visit, students were taken through various departments such as the raw material section, polymerization unit, extrusion and molding section, quality control laboratory, and packaging unit. Industry experts explained the manufacturing processes, from refining petroleum derivatives to forming different plastic products like polyethylene, polypropylene, and PVC
The visit was highly informative and enriching. It helped students relate theoretical concepts to real industrial practices. Such industrial exposure enhances students’ practical knowledge, awareness of environmental responsibilities, and inspires them to pursue careers in the chemical and petrochemical industries.
