HR Connect

The activity was conducted by BBA II-year students and it was a valuable initiative. This type of activity can provide students with practical insights into the world of human resources (HR) and help them better understand the challenges and opportunities in the field. Here's a breakdown of what such an activity might entail.

The primary objective of HR Connect is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom and real-world HR practices. It aims to give students firsthand exposure to the HR profession.

Students visit different corporate organizations. These organizations could be from various industries such as IT, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, or any other sector where HR plays a crucial role.

During their visits, students conduct interviews with HR professionals. These interviews are likely structured to gather information about the HR professionals' job roles, responsibilities, and experiences in handling HR challenges and opportunities within their respective organizations.

Students learn about the various job roles within the HR field. This includes understanding the functions of HR, such as recruitment, training and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and HR analytics.

Students inquire about the challenges HR professionals face in their day-to-day work. These challenges might include issues related to employee engagement, talent retention, compliance with labour laws, and adapting to evolving workplace dynamics. Opportunities may involve strategies for talent acquisition, employee development, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Besides gaining knowledge about HR practices, this activity can also serve as a networking opportunity. Students can build connections with HR professionals, which might be beneficial for their future career development.

After each visit, students could be required to prepare a report summarizing their findings and reflecting on what they've learned. This can help them consolidate their knowledge and apply it academically.

HR Connect activities provide practical exposure to students, allowing them to relate classroom concepts to real-world scenarios. It helps them develop a deeper understanding of HR practices and also assists in career planning by giving them insights into potential career paths within HR.

The BBA program can use feedback from both students and the HR professionals they interact with to improve and refine the HR Connect activity in the future.
