The fifth day of the Departmental Orientation Programme for the Department of Arts at Poddar International College focused on fostering cultural engagement, interactive learning, and academic orientation through a series of enriching sessions for the newly admitted students.
The programme commenced with an engaging Hindi Paheli (Riddles) Session conducted by Dr. Kavita Jain. The activity encouraged students to think creatively, participate enthusiastically, and interact with one another in a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The fun-filled session not only enhanced students' analytical and language skills but also helped create a friendly and inclusive learning environment.
This was followed by an Bhagavad Gita Path session led by Dr. Shilpika Tiwari, NSS Officer, with the active participation of Mr. Naman Gautam, Dr. Kavita Jain, and Ms. Suhasini Shukla, along with the students. During the session, selected verses from the Bhagavad Gita were recited, and their meaning and relevance in everyday life were explained. The session emphasized values such as self-discipline, righteousness, dedication to duty, inner strength, and ethical living, inspiring students to cultivate a positive outlook and strong moral character in their academic and personal lives.
The programme also included academic orientation sessions conducted by the subject faculty members. Each teacher introduced their respective subjects, shared the course structure and syllabus, explained the teaching methodology to be followed throughout the semester, and outlined the academic expectations. These sessions provided students with a clear understanding of their curriculum and encouraged them to approach their studies with confidence and enthusiasm.
The fifth day of the Orientation Programme concluded successfully, blending interactive learning, cultural values, and academic guidance. The sessions helped students develop a sense of belonging while preparing them for a meaningful and engaging academic journey at Poddar International College.
