Fun Activity in Departmental Orientation Programme

The fourth day of the Departmental Orientation Programme for the Department of Arts at Poddar International College was designed to promote self-awareness, personality development, career guidance, and social responsibility among the newly admitted students through a series of engaging and interactive sessions.

The programme commenced with a Psychological Fun Activity conducted by Ms. Suhasini Shukla. During the session, students were encouraged to draw an object, symbol, or any element with which they personally identified and explain three reasons for their choice. The activity provided an enjoyable platform for self-expression and reflection while helping students recognize their individuality, strengths, and personal values. It also enabled the faculty to gain a deeper understanding of the students' personalities in an interactive and creative manner.

The second session was conducted by Ms. Anuradha Ghosh, who organized an engaging Soft Skills activity. Through a series of interactive and enjoyable exercises, students participated enthusiastically while developing essential communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills. The session highlighted the importance of confidence, effective interaction, and collaboration in both academic and professional settings.

The programme continued with a career guidance session by Mr. Jitendra Singh, who emphasized the importance of  competitive examinations and motivated students to begin preparing for them from the early stages of their academic journey. He introduced students to various career opportunities through competitive examinations and provided valuable guidance on preparation strategies, goal setting, and career planning.

The final session featured a presentation on the National Service Scheme (NSS) by Dr. Shilpika Tiwari , NSS Programme Officer . The presentation introduced students to the objectives, activities, and significance of the NSS, emphasizing its role in fostering leadership, community service, social responsibility, and nation-building. Students were encouraged to actively participate in NSS initiatives to contribute meaningfully to society while developing their own personality and leadership skills.

The fourth day of the Orientation Programme concluded on an inspiring note, equipping students with greater self-awareness, enhanced interpersonal skills, valuable career guidance, and a deeper understanding of the importance of community engagement. The sessions encouraged students to actively participate in the academic, personal, and social opportunities offered by Poddar International College.
