The Department of Computer Applications, Poddar Group of Institutions, organized a Free AI Certification Bootcamp by IBM and the NASSCOM Foundation on 3 August 2026 for the students of all departments. More than 300 students participated in the bootcamp, which aimed to introduce them to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and its growing applications across various industries.
The session was conducted by Santos Das, Senior Software Engineer and AI Integration Specialist, who has over 6 years of experience in building scalable applications and leading engineering teams at organizations including Publicis Sapient, Metafic, and GoodWorkLabs.
The bootcamp covered Getting Started with AI, including an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Prompt Engineering, providing students with practical insights into AI-powered tools and their real-world applications. Upon successful completion of the bootcamp, all participating students received certificates jointly issued by IBM and NASSCOM Foundation, recognizing their participation and learning.
The program proved to be a valuable learning experience, enhancing students' understanding of AI technologies and prompt engineering techniques while encouraging them to pursue industry-recognized certifications and develop skills relevant to the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.
