The "Department of Commerce & Management" hosted an engaging experiential learning activity session as a part of "Departmental Orientation" for new BBA and BCom students on July 24, 2025 at Poddar Business School. The day was packed with interactive sessions and team-building activities designed to foster interaction, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Faculty members, including Prof. Dean Sunil Kakkar, Dr. Shiva Sharma*, and Dr. Swapna, Ms. Charushi Jain led student-teacher interaction sessions. Dr. Swapna organized team-building activities, including a balloon challenge and bridge-making exercise, to teach students management principles. Dr. Vaishali Gupta facilitated two gamification activities, a *Kahoot Quiz (covering general knowledge and business) and a Tower Building Challenge 🗼 which sparked energy, competition, teamwork, creativity, and leadership among students. The program also featured an insightful interactive session by Mr. Abhinav Dhamija on idea execution, pitching, sales, starting and scaling businesses, and risk-taking, interspersed with exemplary startup stories. The event successfully created a fun and welcoming environment, allowing students to bond with peers and setting a positive tone for the academic year. Following the sessions, students participated in a tree sapling plantation 🌴 activity at PBS.
