As part of our vision to make Artificial Intelligence an integral part of undergraduate education, Department of Computer Applications under the aegis of Poddar International College has successfully implemented a 6-Day Student Training Programme on Generative Artificial Intelligence for students of Humanities and Science.
This initiative is a significant step towards our commitment to developing AI-ready graduates across disciplines, irrespective of their academic background.
The training was designed not merely to introduce students to Generative AI, but to help them understand how AI can become a practical academic and professional productivity tool.
During the six-day programme, students explored, Understanding Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), Effective Prompt Engineering and advanced prompting techniques, Using AI for academic research, learning and information discovery, AI-assisted content creation and presentation development, Generating and improving ideas using AI, Responsible and ethical use of AI, Identifying AI-generated content, limitations and hallucinations, Hands-on exploration of emerging AI-powered productivity tools
The programme successfully moved students beyond simply knowing about AI to using AI effectively and responsibly. At Poddar International College, we believe that AI literacy should not be limited to tech students. The AI revolution is transforming every profession, every industry and every discipline.
Therefore, our objective is to create a learning environment where a student of Humanities, Science, Commerce, Management or Computer Applications graduates with the confidence and capability to work with AI not merely around AI.
