Departmental Orientation Program collaboration with NSS unit

On the second day of the Orientation Programme, the Department of Arts, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, organized an educational visit to a Gaushala (Cow Shelter). The activity was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Jitendra Singh. The visit aimed to introduce the new students to the core values of the National Service Scheme, including selfless service, social responsibility, compassion, and community engagement.

The visit also provided students with an opportunity to understand the cultural and traditional significance of Gaushalas in Indian society. They learned about the values, respect for all living beings, and the importance of preserving India’s rich heritage and indigenous traditions.

The Gaushala visit proved to be an enriching and memorable experience for the students. It reinforced the values of compassion, teamwork, and responsible citizenship while encouraging them to contribute positively to society through the initiatives of the National Service Scheme.

The programme laid a strong foundation for their educational journey and inspired them to actively participate in the academic, cultural, and social life of Poddar International College.
