Day 2 of the AICTE–ATAL Faculty Development Programme (FDP)

The second day of the AICTE–ATAL Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Embracing the Green Economy: Exploring Green Technology for a Sustainable Future” was conducted with great enthusiasm and academic rigor at Poddar International College. The day witnessed insightful deliberations by eminent experts, focusing on renewable energy innovations and sustainable urban infrastructure.


The programme began with a warm welcome of the distinguished resource persons by Principal, Poddar International College, Prof. Praveen Goswami, who highlighted the significance of capacity building among faculty members in the rapidly evolving domain of green technologies. The organizing committee extended heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Chairman, Dr. Anand Poddar Sir, and the Honorable Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Roopal Poddar Ma’am, for their constant guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support, which continue to inspire such meaningful academic initiatives.
The first expert session of the day was delivered by Dr. Hemlata Sharma, Director, IIFA Institute and Earth Association, on the theme “Renewable Energy Innovations and Applications.” Dr. Sharma elaborated on emerging trends in renewable energy, innovative technologies, and their practical applications in addressing global energy challenges. Her session provided valuable insights into sustainable energy solutions and encouraged participants to integrate green practices into academic and research pursuits.
This was followed by an engaging Article Discussion Session conducted by Dr. Reema Singh( Coordinator,FDP)which fostered critical thinking and interactive dialogue among participants. The session enabled faculty members to reflect on contemporary research and policy perspectives related to the green economy.


Post-lunch, the second expert session was conducted by Mrs. Shilpi Rajpurohit, General Manager, MSME Jaipur, on “Green Infrastructure and Smart Cities.” She discussed the role of sustainable infrastructure, smart urban planning, and green technologies in building resilient and future-ready cities. Her practical insights and real-world examples enriched the understanding of participants regarding policy implementation and industrial perspectives.


The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal, Poddar International College, Dr. Meenu Mangal who expressed appreciation to the speakers, organizers, and participants for making the second day a grand success. The stage proceedings throughout the day were efficiently anchored by Dr. Arti Sharma, ensuring smooth coordination and seamless transitions between sessions.
