The Christmas celebration was to spread joy, love, and the spirit of sharing among students and underprivileged children. The event aimed to promote social responsibility, compassion, and community engagement among students while bringing happiness to children from economically weaker sections.
Description of the Activity
The Christmas celebration was organized by NSS club of Poddar International college with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The college campus was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees, lights, and ornaments, creating a festive atmosphere. The program began with a short prayer followed by a welcome address highlighting the significance of Christmas and the importance of helping those in need.
Various cultural activities such as Christmas carols, skits, and speeches were presented by students. A special focus of the event was the distribution of gifts to underprivileged children. Students and volunteers collected and arranged gifts including toys, stationery items, chocolates, clothes, Balloons and essential supplies. The event was coordinate by NSS Program officer Dr. Shilpika tewari and Dr. Vinod Jain.
The NSS volunteers visited at their locality. Gifts were distributed individually to ensure that every child felt special and included Refreshments were also provided, and interactive games were conducted to engage the children and make the celebration memorable.

The Christmas celebration and gift distribution program was a meaningful and fulfilling experience for everyone involved. College Principal Dr. Praveen Goswami told that the event was a great success and reflected the college’s commitment to social welfare and holistic education.
