Students of Interior Design went for a Case study to variousMonuments, tourist places, cafe’s, restaurants and Buildings of Jaipur to recollect the concept of using Arches in vintage and modern building settings. They observes components of Arches such as Span, springing line, keystone, intrados, extrados, material, shape and overall concept. They also got to know about its historical importance and ornamentation done for the same. Apart from traditional Arches, they saw some modern arches used in residential buildings which serves a specific purpose. The Case study and xploration of Arches whill help them in understanding cultural, traditional and functional value of this element of construction.
