The AICTE ATAL–Faculty Development Programme was conducted with great enthusiasm and learning spirit, under the visionary guidance and constant support of the Honorable Chairman of Poddar Group of Institutions, Dr. Anand Poddar, and the Honorable Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Roopal Poddar. Their encouragement continues to strengthen the academic and professional enrichment initiatives at Poddar International College.
The day began with an industrial visit to CIPET – Central Institute of Petroleum, Chemicals, Engineering and Technology, organized to provide participants with practical industrial exposure. During the visit, faculty members gained valuable insights into advanced polymer technology, plastic processing, testing laboratories, and sustainable industrial practices adopted by CIPET. The interaction with experts and observation of real-time industrial operations enriched participants’ understanding of industry–academia integration and the role of technology in sustainable development.
Following the industrial visit and lunch break, the post-lunch academic session was conducted by Ms. Sangeeta Aidasani, a renowned creative fashion entrepreneur, social leader, and Managing Director of NGO Sang Welfare Society. She delivered an engaging session on “Sustainable Business Models and Green Entrepreneurship.” Her talk highlighted the importance of ethical entrepreneurship, eco-friendly business practices, social responsibility, and innovation-driven sustainable enterprises. She also shared inspiring real-life experiences that motivated participants to integrate sustainability into business and entrepreneurial ventures.
The session formally commenced with a warm welcome of the speaker by the Vice Principal of Poddar International College, Dr. Meenu Mangal. At the conclusion, a heartfelt vote of thanks was presented jointly by Dr. Meenu Mangal and Dr. Reema Singh, FDP Coordinator, expressing gratitude to the resource person and acknowledging the active participation of all attendees. The stage proceedings were efficiently conducted by Dr. Arti Sharma, ensuring smooth coordination throughout the session.
Overall, the fifth day of the FDP successfully blended industrial exposure with academic enrichment, reinforcing the programme’s objective of fostering sustainable thinking, green innovation, and industry-oriented learning among faculty members.
