The AICTE–ATAL Faculty Development Programme on “Embracing the Green Economy: Exploring Green Technology for a Sustainable Future” was conducted successfully at Poddar International College with insightful academic deliberations and expert sessions.
The day commenced with the first technical session delivered by Dr. Amrita Katara, Assistant Public Relations Officer, Government of Rajasthan, presently posted at the CM Studio Secretariat, Jaipur. She presented an engaging and informative session on “Circular Economy and Waste Management Strategies.” Dr. Katara elaborated on the importance of transitioning from a linear to a circular economic model, effective waste management practices, and policy-driven sustainable solutions. She was formally welcomed by the Principal Prof. Praveen Goswami and Vice Principal Dr. Meenu Mangal of Poddar International College, who appreciated her contribution to the programme.
Following this, an article discussion session was conducted by Dr. Utkarsh Kaushik, Associate Professor, Department of Zoology, Poddar International College. His discussion was based on the topic “Green Economy & Environmental Innovation Strategies: A Review of the Literature.” The session encouraged critical thinking and academic interaction among participants, highlighting recent research trends, innovations, and challenges in the green economy domain.
After the lunch break, the second technical session of the day was delivered by Dr. Ashish Sharma, Founder of Shodh Setu. His session on “Future of Green Technologies and Research Opportunities” provided valuable insights into emerging green technologies, interdisciplinary research avenues, and opportunities for faculty members in sustainable research and innovation. Dr. Ashish Sharma was warmly welcomed by Principal Prof. Praveen Goswami and Vice Principal Dr. Meenu Mangal of Poddar International College.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed jointly by Vice Principal Dr. Meenu Mangal and Dr. Reema Singh, Coordinator of the FDP, who expressed gratitude to the speakers, participants, and organizing team for their active involvement. The smooth conduction of the stage and proceedings throughout the day was efficiently managed by Dr. Arti Sharma.
The organizing team also gratefully acknowledged the constant guidance and support of the Chairman of Poddar Group of Institutes, Dr. Anand Poddar, and the Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Roopal Poddar, whose encouragement and vision played a vital role in the successful execution of the programme.
Overall, the fourth day of the FDP proved to be intellectually enriching and impactful, strengthening participants’ understanding of sustainable practices, green technologies, and research-driven solutions for a greener future.
