Poddar International College has organized an AICTE–ATAL Basic Faculty Development Programme (FDP)(22-27 December 2025) on “Embracing the Green Economy: Exploring Green Technology for a Sustainable Future” from 22nd to 27th December 2025. The programme aimed at strengthening faculty understanding of sustainability, green technologies, and policy-driven environmental solutions.
The successful organization of the Faculty Development Programme was made possible through the constant support and encouragement of the management and academic leadership of the Poddar Group of Institutions. The report duly acknowledges the visionary guidance of the Honourable Chairman, Dr. Anand Poddar, and the Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Roopal Poddar, whose commitment to academic excellence and sustainable initiatives provided strong impetus to the programme.
The first day of the AICTE–ATAL Basic Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Embracing the Green Economy: Exploring Green Technology for a Sustainable Future” was successfully conducted on 22nd December 2025 at Poddar International College. The programme was inaugurated with the objective of sensitizing faculty members towards sustainability, green technologies, and environmentally responsible development.
The day began with a solemn Inaugural Session and Lamp Lighting Ceremony, signifying the commencement of an academic journey towards sustainable knowledge. Dr. Reema Singh extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants.
The gathering was addressed by the Honourable Chairman, Dr. Anand Poddar, who highlighted the institution’s commitment to purposeful education and the urgent need to integrate green practices into academia. The inaugural session was further enriched by the insightful addresses of Dr. Shefali Deol, Guest of Honour, and Dr. Pramod Kamble, Chief Guest, who emphasized the role of educators in fostering environmental awareness and sustainable development.
The academic proceedings of the day featured an expert session by Dr. Anurag Sharma, Director, R. A. Poddar Institute of Management, on “Introduction to the Green Economy and Sustainable Development.” His session provided a comprehensive overview of green economic principles and their relevance in the contemporary global context. This was followed by an engaging article discussion led by Expert Dr. Utkarsh, encouraging analytical thinking and scholarly interaction among participants.
The post-lunch session commenced with a welcome and introduction, leading into the second session conducted by Dr. Manu Singh, Chairperson, Sarva Dharma Samvad. His enlightening talk on the “Role of Policy and Governance in Green Technology” offered valuable insights into policy frameworks and governance mechanisms essential for sustainable technological advancement.
The first day of the FDP set a strong academic foundation, marking a meaningful beginning to a week-long exploration of green economy and sustainable futures.
