Department of Computer Applications, Poddar International College, under the aegis of Poddar Group of Institutions, successfully implemented a 4-day CSR initiative supported by IBM–Advanced IT Skills, in partnership with ICT Academy, focusing on Artificial Intelligence training.
The program aimed to enhance students’ technical competence and industry readiness through an immersive learning experience. It featured a joint certification by IBM and ICT Academy for participants who successfully completed the training. The structure included 42 hours of intensive learning—16 hours of self-learning on the IBM SkillsBuild Platform, 24 hours of instructor-led training (ILT) with project-based learning using open-source tools, and a 2-hour final assessment.
Through this program, students gained valuable knowledge in AI concepts, machine learning fundamentals, data handling techniques, and real-world problem-solving using open-source tools. The workshop not only strengthened their technical proficiency but also encouraged innovation, collaboration, and employability in the fast-evolving digital landscape.
